Set-Up / FMD (Full-Meal-Deal) - for New Computers

Our FMD or (Full Meal Deal) is a popular service of ours. Below is an outline of what is included.

Cost: $99 (no data transfer), $149 (with documents transfer)

  1. Register Machine: Register computer in your name, set up address book
  2. Name Label: Place customer name with clear plastic label on computer.
  3. Bind AppleCare: If you purchased AppleCare we will bind it electronically for your convenience.
  4. Apple Software Updates: We will download all the Apple Software updates for you in a fraction of the time
  5. Configuration: Set time zone, set 2nd click on mouse
  6. Utilities: Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility
  7. Install Software: We will install and upgrade any purchased software such as VirusBarrier or MS Office
  8. Install Accessories: Ensure any devices such as mice, keyboards, printers are configured properly
  9. Install Tutorials: Look for Podcase Tutorias in your iTunes library.
  10. Install common 3rd party applications: (a few of these are listed below)
    1. Skype - VOIP application to allow you to call or video chat
    2. Google Earth - Google Earth is a virtual globe, map and geographic information program
    3. Flip for Mac - Provides Windows Media video and audio playback in the QuickTime Player for Mac OS X
    4. VLC Player - Open Source media player that plays most formats
    5. FireFox - Mozilla Firefox is a free web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite
    6. Aidium - Open source multi-protocol instant messaging client for Mac OS X
    7. RealPlayer - Plays a number of multimedia formats
    8. Sound Studio 3 - Multitrack audio recording software
    9. Tooble - YouTube Video Downloader
  11. Set-Up Email: Configure Apple Mail with your email settings
  12. Remote Support: We configure your machine for remote support which will allow our technicians to provide instant remote support with a few clicks.
  13. Data Transfer: We will transfer your data from your Mac or PC. We will put all your important documents into the right place. Your Documents into your documents folder, your photos into iPhoto, and your music into iTunes.
  14. Basic Intro: Go over the basics and your data transfer with customer
  15. Windows Email/Contacts Migration: Email migration to mobileme or gmail is available for an additional charge
